I have talked about using your old tee shirts to make reusable shopping bags a few times, but I have never gotten into the details on how to do this.
If you are anything like me then your spring cleaning routine may include going through your closet and picking out items you no longer want or need. There are a few options to downsize, you could donate or sell them to a used clothing store. If you want to extend the useful life of your shirts, you can turn them into reusable shopping bags.
These can be either hand sewn or you can use a sewing machine. All you need is an old tee shirt, thread, needle, and scissors.
Cut the neckline, sleeves, and bottom hem off of your tee shirt. Flip your shirt inside out and sew a straight line across the bottom of your tee shirt. Fold the corners into triangles and sew a straight line across the edge of the triangle and trim it.
Now you have a reusable shopping bag made from your old tee shirt.
